Quite a long time ago, perhaps 1993, or 1994, I was in a Philosophy of religion class. The topic was "the Problem of Evil"

I won’t go too far into this, …but I ended up researching the term "sheol", which might be understood as the "under world".

Ge’henom, [aka hell], is actually usually identified as a physical place near the Temple mount, were impure bones were put, and not as the Christians teach, "hell"

There are other opinions obviously about where we go "after".

About Sheol, it seems to be a in between junction, … and we do have the 11 months of saying Kaddish. Why not 12? Well, no soul needs 12 whole months!!! Is anyone really that "damned"? Judaism has of course lots to say about all the above.

I wrote a very long [maybe 15 pages] !! And then the Professor told me it was "too technical" and needed to make less sense.

So I re-wrote the entire paper about my moms father who had died my senior year of High school and how I felt at his funeral.
