The Old City of Jerusalem 1966

; —- for those who do not know or do not remember or were not born…

There was an entire "neighborhood" up to almost the Kotel. The "plaza" area as we know and enjoy simply was housing (and) sadly garbage / refush / and sewage

One of the actions of the Israeli army during or just after the 6 Day war was bulldozing those homes. Now before anyone gets upset about it….

These were homes mainly of our enemies…. and the other armies destroyed our Synagogues in the Jewish quarter

Some people are sharing photos of the rubble of the Plaza from the 1967 -1968 time and are saying "see what was"….. but please make sure to know the context of the rubble.

Our army (the Israeli) caused the rubble (and of course the war itself)

Sometimes we misuse old photos and share with misleading or just incorrect details to push a narrative.

We should aim to be more honest

It is not "see how the arabs treated Jerusalem" (and) "look at how great is now.

The situation up to the 6 Day war beyond shitty for the Israeli/jews of Jerusalem. No doubt.

There was barbed wire down Jaffa road (I still cannot find photos) Rav Goren of Blessed memory in his autobiography details life in the divided Jerusalem

The arabs shot at us .. while getting groceries… so I am not saying it all peaches and cream

But to mis-use / mislead with images of the Western Wall plaza??? This is also….not "good" or…. "right"

Sometimes the past sucks…and is hard to swallow…. and so we tell people not be "woke" and "it is a left wing mind virus" to scare people from… ya know looking into the past.

Read at least 10 books on the time period and then lets talk

הייתה "שכונה" שלמה עד כמעט הכותל. אזור ה"כיכר" כפי שאנו מכירים ונהנים פשוט היה דיור (ולצערנו) זבל / זבל / וביוב

אחת הפעולות של הצבא הישראלי במהלך מלחמת 6 הימים או ממש אחריה הייתה דחפור הבתים הללו. עכשיו לפני שמישהו יתעצבן מזה….

אלו היו בתים בעיקר של אויבינו… ושאר הצבאות הרסו את בתי הכנסת שלנו ברובע היהודי

יש אנשים שמשתפים תמונות של הריסות הפלאזה מהתקופה של 1967-1968 ואומרים "ראו מה היה"….. אבל אנא הקפידו לדעת את ההקשר של ההריסות.

הצבא שלנו (הישראלי) גרם להריסות (וכמובן המלחמה עצמה)

לפעמים אנחנו עושים שימוש לרעה בתמונות ישנות ומשתפים בפרטים מטעים או סתם לא נכונים כדי לדחוף נרטיב.

אנחנו צריכים לשאוף להיות יותר כנים

זה לא "ראה איך הערבים התייחסו לירושלים" (ו) "תראה כמה היא גדולה עכשיו.

המצב עד מלחמת 6 הימים מעבר למחורבן עבור הישראלים/יהודי ירושלים. אין ספק.

היה חוט תיל במורד דרך יפו (עדיין לא מוצא תמונות) הרב גורן לזכרו לברכה באוטוביוגרפיה שלו מפרט את החיים בירושלים החצויה

הערבים ירו עלינו… בזמן שהם קיבלו מצרכים… אז אני לא אומר שזה הכל אפרסקים ושמנת

אבל להשתמש לא נכון/להטעות עם תמונות של רחבת הכותל??? זה גם…לא "טוב" או… "נכון"

לפעמים העבר מבאס…וקשה לבלוע… ולכן אנחנו אומרים לאנשים לא להיות "התעוררו" ו"זה וירוס מוח שמאלי" כדי להפחיד אנשים מ… אתה יודע להסתכל לעבר.
