The Torah tell us that commandments are God’s kindness.
Perhaps instead of how some people teach / live… that they’re a burden… "I am so exhausted" …. moaning and groaning about chaggim with their own children!!!!!
—- heeding [doing] the ordinances [which includes] guarding them [as Pika avot says]…. is APART of Gods kindness.
So when people say "it is "just" rabbinical… or the "rabbis"
The ones who wrote down the Oral laws were doing it as apart of guarding….
Even … one can argue compiling the Siddur, over centuries… is apart of guarding and Gods Kindness.
….. yes the Torah also says to strangle witches.
And that a man sleeping with a man is an abomination
And so is not having accurate weights and scales…
…… and that God cuts off [spiritually] people from Olam Habaa for not following / keeping mitvot. How is that Gods Kindness????
Perhaps the idea of kindness … needs to be re-thought?
Yes the Torah says a wayward gultoness son needs to be stoned to death [at the city gates, by the elders].. how is stoning someone to death kindness???
The Torah speaks in black /white, yes, no. 1/0s
It seems so clear. If so, then thousands of pages of Talmud would be unnessary.
Think about what *is* kindness.
