A "modern" comparison / way to try to grasp what the Mishkan was is the Nuclear power plant

Rules for everything, and utter disaster / death to anyone who enters and does not follow rules. Even if well intended.

Special people only ; special clothes ; special rules; special unique power source.

— a MAJOR belief / tenant in the torah, tenach is centralized / uniform system vs "everyone doing what they want on any hill"

The later, … is quite appealing … hey who is anyone to tell ME what to do, and God is LITERALLY everwhere

… well, the Torah / Tenach does not agree with this.
