things within dati/shomer shabbot Judaism that forever vex me ..

make me think "what are you guys doing all day"…

when I start asking questions to people who I know for a fact have been learning full time for over a decade + (some several decades),

and then I ask them questions that come about (for example) the Mishna), written in the siddur.

They’ll say "I don’t know".. I mean what are you all learning for all this time?

These seem like ‘basic’ questions that the Mishna forces a person to at least consider and I’ve asked over 2+ decades

to several dozens of people from the so-called ‘world’ of learning (Yeshivas) including synagogue rabbi’s, gabbiim, etc etc.

Again, questions that seem rather normal based on MISHNAs we all have access to (in the siddur) and no one seems to know.

Wild. Yet, they say to me "you should go learn".

To do what? Turn pages??
