This is dedicated to my brother Noach, and if he manages to get the terrible translation by Google, he will hopefully understand why I chose him to dedicate this to him.

Judaism is by far the most hilarious world religions. By far.

Here is the example I was thinking of, and I truly think of all the people I know [and I know many people] my brother Noach will appreciate this thought the most.

Anyway, this about the 2nd to last line in Tenach, also, connected to this is our over the top hilarious "maftir" in beit knesset.

The 2nd to last line in MANY parts of our tradition usually is [almost always] a positive / upbeat exression of faith / hope.

We repeat this line, and then there is the actual last line. If you know – you know. Noach, my dear brother, he is who I think about each and every time we get to the 2nd to last line, and then repeat it. Usually, we also because we are famously funny people, known world wide for our humor, we have a tune/ song for this 2nd to last line, and Noach is exactly the person who seems to always know the line and the song.

Sure there are other people who know these 2nd to last lines, and the tunes that go with them – probably millions of jews know exactly what I am talking about, but Noach actually seems to appreciate and enjoy the lines and songs that go with them.

And then there is maftir. So, every shabbot 7 people get called up to [either read] or stand next to the reader. Also, another cute and hilarious jewish trivia is that we’re being judged on Shabbot [and everyday], so every beit din needs a minimum of 3 people, so, there are always 3 people up at the torah. I think all the denominations of Judaism do this. Something just cannot be broken.

A twisted 3 time string / stick … [ a line from kohelet]

Anyway, we have the 7th reading on Shabbot, which is a repeatition of the last few lines of the 6th aliya!! Truthfully ask yourself is there any other religion or people more ridiculous and funny as the jews???

We have 4 New Years every year. Have you ever learned how we count on Yom Kippur???? I mean if you read the prayer book printed every language under the sun, you will see the most absurd way of counting.

Which brings me back to the whole 2nd to last line. With love and appreciation, we *never* want to really end on a "bad note", so our ancient sages and wiseones thought to come up with the 2nd to last line.
