People refer to themselves as ashkenaz when their families left over at least 80yrs ago or more, same with Misrachi or Sephardi

Israelis leave Israel and refer to themselves not as jews, but as Israelis who "just" happen to be in San Francisco, Miami, Austin, NYC, etc making money at start-ups or large cap companies

Nearly the entire torah says to get to [what is in the text] called Canaan

All the travelers who came to Israel reported on the sheer poverty , and how Jerusalem was in ruins

Now with flight, what excuses are left?

And in Israel we scream at each other. Divided about so many topics that if one lists one and leaves one out, the person gets mad that their pet angry thing was left out. No – "this" is what is really the problem

So God sends plagues, and human murderers. Some people get the message albeit buried and chained in tunnels

Most of us [me for example] sit comfortably in cafes and get fat. We complain about every problem under the sun while using Internet that can reach 4 to 5 billion people.

Some claim that only the messiah can solve all our problems. Many do not want a solution, it is WAY easier to complain.

So we re-read the same texts / books. We go to the beach and hit the volleyball , or paddle ball back and forth.

We smoke, we drive, we work. The world moves on.

Yet nothing really changes. The so-called redeemer apparently still has not shown up [only been over 2500 years]
