In the Purim story, the authors go out of their way to tell the reader that the King was able round up girls/women … for his harem — i.e. for his own sexual pleasures. It also then tells us, that he would (willingly) wait 11 months for them to be prepared with oils/perfumes. Do we really think he sat around and waited? Also, the rounding up of the virgins, was not a 1x thing … this message is connected to those who claim the past was "great" and to make it "great again". Our own stories tell us it was fraught with dangers. Any young girl at any time could be taken for 1 persons sexual pleasure. Oh, and most definitely, this particular person was not the only man in all of history to do this. We know that this was (and) is common — throughout all times, in all locations, dor veh dor.
