rosh hodesh … and God of the Ocean(?) and God of the Sand (?)…. "oh My God" and no God at all? for all the theology and beliefs,… perhaps the most obvious two would be One God (or) it was always here (ie just is, no Creator. is it truly possible to be an Atheist (?). as in "nah,. it just got here." that is rather depressing. also "luck"…. luck / randomness / chaos all fall into a belief about why things are and have been and will be. In short, we open our eyes for either hundreds of millions of years as Homo Sapiens, or about 5780 as Ben Adam (and Bat Life). why is "believing" in 1 God so hard? Hitler. Baby cancer. Rape. Hamas. People buring another human alive. Hurricanes. Nuclear death. all the misery and sadness… we just cannot "pin it" on 1 God. the same God that made the Oceans. And the Sands. so, we say "El Shaddai" (or) Lord of Hosts. Or, "His Right Arm". We say "Elokiim". God as the Judge. We Jews do this, and actually our Torah writes it!! so, we can sorta not be blamed for Lord of Hosts. And The Right Arm. And God of Vengence. How is that any different than Zeus, Apollo, Mars, Athena, Aphrodite? Or Oden, Thor, Loki? what is the unique vision we are to have when our own Torah writes "we" …. (in Genesis in the creation of man). if we stop looking … and stop asking.. we can easily become Hamas / ISIS, the Catholic Church / Protestants. All our told their questions are from the Devil. Shhssssssing reporters if you will. wink wink. the Point is. you do not need to raise your hands to the Heavens. You do not need to do anything. Every blade moves, every particle of dust, and what we do not see with our eyes, is the Same God. Rashi says that God bent the Heavens and laid a cloth on Har Sinai so Gods Throne could "descend" and also the Torah writes He Spoke to Us from the Heavens. So which was it? It was both and we simply cannot comprend the Totality …. And so, when the horrors come… and they do and they did and they will…. and our Faith takes a hit…. what can we do? If you at that moment are alive… know it is also Gods will. That is the main idea I put into my head when I am alone. When I was angry for nearly 10 years about the Stillbirth… I came back. God kept me going. My kids were still there. I was breathing. that kept me going. Purim. The Afuk of the World. We are still in this (we as in Jews) due to the Purim story.
