Can one truly disconnect oneself and be in a singular moment?
The Budda ; Mediatation ; Shemonah Esrey ; the Quiet ; Mindfullness
Is any of it achieveable? Our brains…is that separate from our thoughts? Typing specific words; yet potentially billions of synaposis are making sure I do not die while also typing.
And they say that dolphins are the most intelligent animal. Or pigs. It always is something other than the painfully obvious.
One of the famous phrases and indeed an actual philososphy is… that the simpliest explanation is typically correct / right. In other words over complicating matters ….only is fluff and empty words. Vanieties of vanieties.
So, we shuckle and we moan, and we kneel, and we dance, and we sit in silence all searching searching searching.
In the book of Shmuel…we learn of singing / playing instruments to bring on prophetic visions… and sometimes in our musical dance pubs and halls we are indeed in a trance
As RamBaM (and others) say these prophetic moments were often a one-time flash …and never again. Pitom! The concept just falls into our heads from seemingly outside ourselves and we feel it in our bones and know (it) to be true
And typically, it is almost always … the simpliest most basic … the stark truth is almost never complicated
