Subject: Mishna revisted

do you think it is possible – and would be of value to anyone – if there was attempt to have the mishnayot written in chronological order by approximate time period the people lived?

the current format is topically organized and has individuals ‘speaking’ to each other who lived in different time periods, and were not alive at the same time etc. and Rabbi Yehuda Hanassi compiling it… and of course there is the whole "braitot" issue to figure out, because even though Rebbe left them out, the Talmud puts them back in…

it might be impossible to trace the sayings and put them in order historically… but in my head, it would be interesting to see how halacha / jewish thought evolved.

I have BCC’d the people/persons who I think would be able think if it is A) possible B) would be of value to at least them personally …
