Purim Revisited

It haaaaappened in 1933. And on that day in 1933 there waaaaaas this man, this evil, evil maaaaan. His name was Hitler. Hitler.

AAAAAAND on that date, while the whoooooole world slept, he gained power, oooooooh yes, he gained power. AAAAAND this evil, evil man devised a plan. An awful, awful, awful plan. HIIIIIIS plan, hiiiiiis awful, awful plan, waaaaaas to kill the Jews. YEeeeeesss, to kill the Jews.

AAAAAAND so he began to carry out his plan. One cold, dark night he took Poland, yes, he took Poland. AAAAAAND the world slept. Yes, it slept. MOOOOORE and MOOOOORE time passed, and he continued to carry out his plan. The war continued; it continued for many, many years. Slowly, slooooowly, slooooowly, Hitler continued to kill the Jews.

Aaaaaand so it was on December 6th, 1941, 1941, that the sleeping giant was aroused to war. To war, to waaaaaar. America came to fight the Nazis. AAAAAAND so it was in 1941, America came.

Years and years went by. And the war took its toll; it toooooook an awful toll. Now Hitler was fighting a two-front war, a two-front war. It was insane, very insane, but he wanted to kill the Jews, yes, kill the Jews.

Finally the war ended. Yes, it ended. AAAAAND Hitler and his evil army were destroyed. Aaaaaand six million died, oh yes, six million died.

AAAAAAND if you ask a survivor how he or she survived, yes, somehow survived, they will say, oh yes, they will say, it was luck, yes, a Purim...
